Comments: New to the hobby but this product insures that my reef tank parameters are exact. Easy to use well built and not any of the problems that you might see on other posts. It does exactly as advertised. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Well I waited way to long to make this purchase. I had been using a eight dollar cheapo . Calibration was a piece of cake. Easy to use as well. The brighter the light the easier to read. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Excellent!

awesome, definite must-have by rayray

Comments: Takes the guess work out of the all-important salinity level, takes 5 seconds to test, comes with quality paded case; use during acclimations, water changes & to keep my SG 1.025 Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Below Average

Bad cover design by JK

Comments: The plastic lens cover on mine has fallen off. Instead of putting a real hinge assembly on the device they chose a snap in plastic cover that will not stay secure over time. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Excellent!

Simplistic by KAJ

Comments: I was using the coralife deepsix, and I thought I was at 35PPT, but after going to a LFS, they told me I was at 45PPT. The accuracy, ease of use, makes this an item that all reefers should have. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have used a variety of different refractometers. This is the only one that I can honestly say there is no guessing when it comes to reading the scale. Save your money, don't buy the cheap ones. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Best refractometer out there by Russ L.

Comments: I've used various refractometers. The problems with them is being able to read the scale. This Captive Purity Refractometer provides by FAR the easiest to read and most consistent scale. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Reinforced Cover, Great Unit! by CD
