Great

Bright, not so quiet by JB in DC

Comments: I give it four stars for the brightness and the construction quality. It feels well made and it was well packaged. (Marine Depot also wrapped it well for shipping.) I took one star off for the fan noise. There are 2 fans in the 48" model, one at each end (web site currently says 1 fan). The fans are 80mm computer case fans and they are wired to spin at full speed. (Think of two older, louder computers next to each other.) They are noticeably louder than my computer and compete with my tv, which is in the same room. The fans are accessible and I will replace them with variable speed fans to mellow out the sound, although this will likely shorten the life of the ballasts. So, I recommend but with qualifications. Ignore the "quiet" description. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Great

Comments: I'm new to PC lights. One of the aspects that sold me was the "quiet" feature. However I find the light's fans to be a bit noisy. The lights do their job though and have been bringing my live rock back to life quite quickly. Overall I consider this product a sound buy and have been enjoying it immensely. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I REALLY LOVE THIS LIGHT. I HAVE ALWAYS LOVE TO WATCH MY FISH AND HATED TO SEE THE LIGHT GO OUT. BUT, WITH THE MOON LIGHT I CAN NOW WATCH THINGS THAT GO ON WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OUT. IT IS A DIFFERENT WORLD. EVEN THOUGH I HAVE ONLY HAD IT FOR A WEKK I'M SURE THINGS ARE GOING TO BE GROWING MUCH BETTER AND FASTER THAN BEFORE. Comments: This is a great light for the price! Fans are not to loud and the moon lights look great!! New growth started on reef in 2 days! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: front lights crapped out after about a year had to replace the ballast cost $35 and a couple hours of my time to fix it. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Great

Big Bang for the Buck by archie1709

Comments: The fan is extra quiet (my Dell Computer CPU fan sounds louder!...this one is QUIET QUIET QUIET!). The lights are amazingly beautiful. The moon light is indeed crisp and natural looking. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Dead lights by Not too Happy

Comments: I had the same problem. One side of the lighting system died on me about 1.5 years after purchase. New light bulbs did not fix. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
