It is dead silent. I would wash out the filter or else your skimmer will go nuts.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

This filter is the best value for the money, put one in may 25gal high sea horse tank runs super quiet and skims the surface great. the only draw back is ther is know flow adjustment, but the loc lines help great for positioning an defussing the flow.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

I bought two of these for my 55g and it did a horrible job. It kept the water clear of particles and kept the surface agitated but cannot replace a protein skimmer or sump type filtration. Huge mistake if someone is trying to replace this. It might work for a few months but in the end, it will catch up to you. For you who have already bought this equipment, I hope you do not experience the same problems, but for those of you who have not bought it, please save yourself the problems. Go with sump or refugium filtration, or both : ) Sorry about the bad words, I just want to warn of problems
I would not recommend this product to my friends.

I bought this for my 10 gallon coral tank. I have to admit, this is the BEST filter for this kind of set up. No trickling from an overflow external filter, you can direct waterflow anywhere in the tank and it blends in with the background and rockwork. The price is great, and a great product, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FILTER!
