Great
Almost perfect by Joe B

Comments: The ReefKeeper 2 does its job, but not perfectly. Due to its "solid state" design, many typical aquarium devices may not switch off properly due to their low power requirements. For example, if you connect a multimeter to any of the provided regular outlets and cycle the power on and off, you'll find that the voltage drops to around 3-4 volts; never completely off. As such, some low current draw devices that use an AC adapter (air pumps, LED moonlights, etc.) will continue to run despite being switched off through the control unit. Digital Aquatics provides two mechanical relay switched outlets that will allow these sorts of devices to function properly, yet the manual ironically says the relayed outlets should be used for high current devices like halide ballasts, chillers, etc. So, you might have to jockey your plugs around to figure out what will and won't work with the standard vs. relay outlets, which can be a headache if you have more than two items that require them. Digital Aquatics places blame squarely on the devices, stating that anything that has this problem is probably a "low power profile," cheaply manufactured or low quality item, when this is clearly not the case. A great many common aquarium devices only require 3-4 volts DC to run. Other than this issue, the ReefKeeper 2 does its job, and does it well.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Like most people I was at first intimidated by the thought of a controller. You can''t go wrong with this one, very simple to set-up and versatile enough for all but the most demanding reefer. No fancy programing language just straight and simple plug and play.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: To keep it simple, if you have an aquarium or more importantly a reef aquarium you really need to look into this product!! I love this thing, it is so simple to use yet does so much. My tank is so much nicer to enjoy without hearing the cooling fans running all day if they are needed the RK2 will turn them on, again YES I would reccomened this to a friend!!

Great
Must Have Unit by Mr Wonderful

Comments: The RK2 is exceptional, sorry I waited so long to get one. Easy to operate, love the 8 lights on front to indicate what plug is ON/Off, feed mode is a reefers delight, and the auto/manual options can meets all my fickle needs (except multiple on and off for one plug within 24 hours i.e. three 15 minute intervals). Software defaults are exceptional, user friendly and guides you through the setup. Could have used 10 or 12 plugs, comes with 8. Not too computer savvy, unable to get the PC to recognize hardware, so far just email contact available. Don't know how it compares to the Junior, but I do know when you get one there is no turning back.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Very simple yet robust controller. The control is the size of a stack of 10 credit cards and so bright. I now control MH, PC, moon & fuge lights; return pump, powerheads, Ca+ reactor and kalkstirrer, and fans with ease. I dont know how I did without for so long.

wonderful controller by JONATHAN CAMPBELL

Comments: I had an orignal reefkeeper, and I was one of the first to get the RK2, and have been extremely pleased with the performance. It's a good idea to invest in the additional outlet for chiller and/or metal halide use. That takes a lot of pressure off the main unit's electrical consumption. This thing has never let me down, and I've been using mine continuously since they were first introduced.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
