Comments: I have purchased four of these chillers, three 1/4 and one 1/3 hp. I have had problems with three of the four. bad..... Temp Probes on all Start Relay and Overload Protectors, on two Pin Controllers, an all and a bad plug on one. The 1/3 hp was 2 years old the others were 6 months and 1.5 years old. I would not recommend this product

Comments: After suffering through the previous summer, losing corals from the heat, I am really happy to have this chiller. I have it connected to a 120G tank and it kept the temperature around 78F comfortably through days that went into the 90s. I was a bit scared of what the noise level would be after reading a bit about chillers but this chiller runs very quiet. The unit looks good too and hookup was really easy.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The BEST CHILLER EVER MADE .I was given the 1/4 for a reef ready 90 gallon as a gift from my wife for Christmas . The reason why there warranty is out of this world they hold by there 2 year warranty . I had my chiller about 1 year and had some problems with it sent it back and was repaired plus they ran it to see if anything needed to be replaced and they replaced what ever had to be replaced . ALSO TRULY QUIET AND NOISE FREE.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Amazing Product!!! by Beege

Comments: This is the first time I've ever used a chiller and frankly I'm amazed at how this one works. I have a 72 gallon bow front tank and set this baby up and set the temp to 79. As soon as the temp reached 80.2 degrees, it cuts on and runs until the temp is dropped. It's EASY to use. I have mine running from my main sump pump, to the unit and then from the unit to the tank return. Works great! The only thing I take issue with is the unit leaks a little (very little) around the input and mainly output. I am going to have to silicone it to plug it up. Other than that, I'm super pleased with this machine. Oh, I forgot, talk about noise? What noise? This unit is so quiet you can't tell it's running.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: JBJ Artica....Much better than I expected from my research of their reputation! 1/4 HP awesome..runs little on my 110G here in South FloridaThe 1 degree range keeps my tanks temperature constant..Quiet!! Very Quiet!!! Important to me! My electric bill has dropped at least 10 percent! After suffering with the Current Tower's noise and heat for a year..2+degree ranges, I'm glad I can enjoy my living room and the TV/Stereo again!! I like so much I bought a second smaller unit 1/10 HP for a 65G Price is a bit more but well worth it! Quiet, accurate and less money when the electric bill comes

Comments: I had previously ordered two teco chillers from Fritz Industries. Both of them either were broken upon arrival or had major technical problems within the first two days. So far after a week of use, the JBJ has been nothing short of excellent. I was truly amazed at how quite it operated. Time to start restocking the tank after the crash created from the Teco.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I recently purchased the JBJ Arctica 1/4 HP and am almost completely pleased with my purchase. The JBJ is the quietest that I have come across (by far). I tried out a Coral Life Aqua-Chill 1/6HP and the Current USA Prime In-Line 1/4 HP units before purchasing the JBJ. In my opinion, the Coral Life and Current Units were much too loud -- both in start up and in running. I felt it important to get a unit as quiet as possible and the JBJ seems to be fitting the bill. Additionally, I had some quality problems with the Coral Life and the Current USA unit was a bit on the BIG side. It should be noted that the JBJ is not a dual stage chiller / heater controller, so balancing between the chiller and a separate heater is a bit of a pain. In addition, the chiller I had purchased does make an annoying clicking noise as it shuts off. So far, I have not been able to get JBJ to respond to my inquiries about the problem, but anticipate it to be a quick fix. All in all, the clicking bothers me much less than the annoyance of the louder units.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

JBJ Arctica 1/4 HP Chiller by CHRIS V.

Comments: I bought this chiller for a 90G RR tank (overkill, but I'm upgrading to a larger tank next year and was sizing more for it). The setup is quick and easy and it definitely lives up to JBJ's sales pitch. Its incredibly quiet. I've seen it compared to a small fridge, but its really quieter than that. You hear a slight wind sucking sound but you dont really hear the compressor running. I have it in the living room and can barely tell when its running. Cycles on/off when its supposed to (1 degree swing) and the thermostat is pretty accurate.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Live in South Florida and even with air conditioning in the house to about 76 degrees, my reef tank was almost impossible to keep under 82 degrees, pumps, protein skimmers and UV, not to mention the compact light system on the top, all adding to the temp. Now a nice 77 degrees in the system and can leave all the goodies running without cooking the reef.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
