Headaches are Gone by PETE PERNICIARO

Comments: I was having a lot a trouble with the alkalinity in my tank. I was adding buffer left and right. I put the reatcor in-line with a denitrator. The alkilinity problem was immediately resolved. Ph levels returned to normal. The reactor is easy to monitor by watching the bubble count. For my 75 gallon tank, I have the bubbles set at one every 5-6 seconds. The calcium levels took a week to callibrate. I've had the unit for 6 months and haven't needed to make any adjustments since the initial installation.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Excellent reactor for the size by SDguy

Comments: I needed a reactor with a tiny footprint since I lack the luxury of an entire equipment room. This reactor fit the bill. Easy to set up. Takes some practice dialing in, but that may have been a function of the fact that this is my first reactor. Depending on your setup, since this is a single chamber reactor, the effluent pH can impact tank pH somewhat. I would recommend dripping limewater to offset this.

Comments: An absolutely outstanding piece of equipment. Eliminated the major headache in my reefkeeping life -- maintaining hi-and-proper PH level and plenty of calcium. A definite must if you can afford it. . .

Doesn't keep up levels by MARK WUESTENBERG

Comments: It says up to 400 gallons. Not! No way! My tank is a 125 and it can't keep up the calcium levels. I've been playing with this thing for a year now. It runs good and I haven't had any problems with it, but I would recommend getting a bigger unit, but the thing is the bigger units cost much more. I would try a Kalkreactor before this, which is much cheaper and it will keep your ph levels up unlike these which lowers them. Also the last shipment I got of the Korallin media was very small pieces of coral, much smaller than the first shipment. It last about 4 to 6 months and you need to replace media. I give it only three stars because it says up to 400 gallons which is a joke, it can't keep the levels up when they are up. I still have to add calcium at least twice a week.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
