Comments: It's easy to use. The calibration was very close when I received it and I've not had to recalibrate it since. The calibration screw has a little cap to protect it from accidental splashes which could cause it to seize. I now have confidence that my hydrometer readings were correct. I paid $20.00 for the hydrometer in 1972 so adjusting for inflation, the refractometer is actually about $30 less expensive than my hydrometer.
