Description

Seaflor Super Reef Sand 1.2-4.0mm diameter grain. This mixed grade (of Seaflor Special Grade and small shells) is also ideal for nitrate reducing systems or simply as reef tank bottom cover. The addition of small shells makes this an ideal substrate for tanks with mature jawfish, or burrowing inverts. CaribSea Aragonite buffers to the highest pH and delivers more calcium, carbonate, and trace elements than any other substrate. Like everything in this world the picture of the product is semi-accurate. There are shells but not whole shells, just broken up pieces. Other than being disappointed with the lack of whole shells the product is a great value for those hobbyist who don't want to spend and arm & a leg buying live sand. It afforded me to buy a bag of live sand & mix the two, add some whole shells and walla. The look I was going for. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends. I set up a big tank and it did take awhile rinsing the sand, but I sincerely believe it was worth it. I would buy the same product again because I like the way it looked so natural and I just added a few more shells when I was done. CaribSea is the best.
