Works perfect; it keeps the fluorescents about 4 inches off the top of the tank which minimizes heat transfer ( I noticed no change in tank temp), and not affecting the intensity of the light in or out of the tank. In my opinion these are a must for the Coralife lights because the fixtures get too hot to be on the tank. So in closing they should have been supplied with the light to begin with. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
