The D-D Midday 6000 T5 bulbs have full a 5 point colour spectrum and 6000K colour temperature which exactly recreates natural sunlight. Suitable for salt water and fresh water. Midday is a 6000 Kelvin tube with a 5 point spectrum which recreates sunlight. It is suitable for salt water, fresh water, and reef planted or fish only aquariums. Shipping Costs We can pack up to 6 lamps per box. Since fluorescent bulbs require special handling and packaging, we will only ship fluorescent bulb and power compact bulb orders of four or more bulbs free of shipping cost. 48" bulbs are shipped free only if 6 or more bulbs are ordered. 48" lamps ship as an oversize package (30 lbs package). Comments: I was very impressed with the output of these bulbs. The Midday-Natural spectrum seems to make my 4 watts per gallon almost demure. They appeared understated at first, being used to cooler bulbs. After a day of viewing I realized what I had been missing and gained a great deal of respect for them. They do not render the colors in a flashy sort of way. The spectrum lends itself to prolonged viewing without fatigue. It for example makes the all colors in my rainbows pop without neglecting others. A very good option for a freshwater planted tank. I discovered a lot of tones that were previously not there.
