The unit can be set to turn a pump on or off with changing water level and is extremely useful for continuous water change systems or automated top-off. It works exactly as advertised and with connecting it to a timer set a one-minute intervals ensures that my tank will not overflow. Was easy to set up and since then I have not had to worry about it.
