Description
ReefPure PHOSaR Although Phosphorus is a part of every living organism, in the aquarium, its presence will promote the growth of nuisance algae and inhibit coral growth. Phosphate may enter the aquarium through food, top off water or from aquarium salt itself. The first key to nuisance algae control is to limit and reduce the measurable Phosphate levels in the marine and reef aquarium. Iron-based filtration media (Granular Iron Oxide) has become the standard for Phosphate removal in the marine and reef aquarium. Several companies offer very similar granulated media that must be used in a complex fluidized reactor for maximum efficiency. The media used by these companies is granulated, resembling coffee grinds, and will color the aquarium water an ugly yellow. Their products tend to block water flow and even solidify if used in a cannister filter or passively, in a sump.
Warner Marine Research PHOSaR is a new high performance Iron-based media with a special shape and composition especially for water filtration. PHOSaR contains Iron Oxide in a new pelleted form which offers higher hydrodynamic performance compared to the competitor`s Iron-based granular products. Microanalysis reveals that the pelleted media found in PHOSaR has a more uniform and efficient pore structure to allow greater adsorption to levels below 4ppB. In addition, PHOSaR is an excellent product for removing dangerous Arsenic, which can also damage the marine and reef aquarium.
Warner Marine Research PHOSaR can be simply used in a cannister filter or in a micron bag. Since PHOSaR allows flow-thru, a cannister filter can be an extremely efficient method of removing Phosphate and Arsenic. The hobbyist may also place PHOSaR in a micron bag and place the bag in a location with moderate water flow, such as a sump. Competing products are nearly useless outside of the fluidized reactor, which makes Warner Marine Research PHOSaR the easy choice for all marine and reef aquariums. PHOSaR is available in 125g, 250g and 500g sizes for the home hobbyist and 2kg and 10kg sizes for commercial applications.

This stuff really works. I've tried ROWAphos and Phosban but this blows them away. I have 200 grams in an AquaC XP Plus with a Maxi-Jet 600 and it lowered my phosphates in my 120 gallon reef from 0.30 to 0.004 in a day! I used the ROWA Merck Phosphate Test Kit.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

I like this stuff alot. I simply run a few gallons through the reactor into a bucket to rinse the product and i have no dust/fines get into the tank. I can tell when it starts to exhaust with just a look into the reactor. The media gets dark brown to almost black when its about time to change it out. In my 100g system with a heavy stock and generous feedings i find 100g of Phosar in the reactor lasts 3-4 weeks.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
