The Irrigator is a multi-outlet powerhead attachment designed to bring water movement into hard-to-reach, low-current parts of your aquarium. It reduces stagnant and dead spots by spreading current into the multiple outlets. This will help to alleviate detritus accumulation in low current areas of your tank. Best of all you can hide the powerhead behind the rocks and just run airline tubing to these dead spots! Each irrigator package includes: Irrigator showerhead Large elbow - will fit 3/4" I.D. slip Small elbow - will fit 1/2" I.D. slip Flexible ties (10) 350 cm black silicone airline tubing Plugs (5) Connection between the Irrigator & the Irrigator Powerhead may require the use of Teflon tape. Experience Level: Intermediate Posted on 11/30/2007 from PASADENA, CA UNITED STATES Comments: This is a good "spray bar" solution for smaller tanks. I buried mine behind the LR pile at the rear of the tank to cancel some flow dead spots and promote more water flow through the LR. Like a previous reviewer, I had some difficulty getting the pieces to fit together correctly, but since it's plastic a little filing or widening with a knife fixed that fairly quickly. It probably cost about $0.10 to manufacture but at less than $20 it's a relatively cheap item for our hobby and fills an important role in my 28G HQI.
