Flamingo Reef Sand: 1-2 mm diameter grain size. Coralline pink highlights make this substrate colourful as well as functional. Flamingo Reef gives maximum performance in plenum-type nitrate reducing beds, or simply a reef or fish tank bottom cover. Nice texture variation and color. The bag indicates it doesn't need to be rinse before putting in the tank. Don't believe it. The water became very murky even after a couple days. I had to siphon if off and do a partial water change. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
