Excellent!
A Gill of Fresh Air by Dr. C

Comments: This product serves as part 3 of my intentionally "over filtered" 210 gal setup. The other parts are a regular Eheim Pro II Canister filter and an AquaClear over the back pouring filter. Whenever I take this Wet/Dry filter down for substrate rinsing, my fish (6 very large oscars) almost immediately begin to gasp for air at the water surface. When I power the Wet/Dry back up, they in under a minute begin to swim mid-tank again doing what us aquarium hobbyists like to have them do most --live healthily and display well. This filter comes fully loaded with everything you need (substrate & hoses) included. Setup is easy. The water dwells in the canister for a good while before ejecting in continuous waves into the tank. It has a third hose that pre-mixes air into each wave release. Brilliant design. Once set up, this filter does NOT need to be primed with water for restart of service so long as there is water remaining in the fast release hoses and their terminals are submerged (i.e. you will not get a backflow of water without submerged terminals). So if you are simultaneously doing a water change, refill the tank FIRST before reconnecting and restating the Wet/Dry. This advice probably applies to all canister filters. My ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate numbers are all well within safe ranges whenever I test. "Overfiltering" is costly, both money-wise and maintenence time-wise, but it is the only way to guarantee healthy water and long-lived healthy fish; and happy humans you co-habitate with by eliminating ALL tank odors COMPLETELY and having something they can enjoy watching with you. I watched my brother work with his 30gal tanks when I was a kid. I remember most their stink and a lot of fish loss due to the cheap inefficient filters of the era, but at times he'd get an odor-free heahtly set-up that was fascinating to watch. Don't forget the next gen inspiration aspect of what we do!
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
