Excellent!

Comments: I was low on calcium and my calcium reactor was just making alkalinity so I talked to Julian Sprung (coauthor of The reef aquarium) he suggested I try to find use a powder form of “Calcium Chloride” to kick start the tank. I used this product and my calcium went up and stayed up over two weeks and still going strong and… so did my alkalinity. I am now wondering if I even need the calcium reactor? At this point this is more reliable, less tweaking and this will last me well over a year. By the way... I tried other calcium product be fore to do this but they did not work! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: In converting a FOWLR to a reef tank, I had gotten my alkalinity too high while calcium was low. Most of the calcium supplements are designed to balance a boost in calcium with a buffer for alkalinity and I only needed half of this. Calcium Chloride is perfect for this out of balance situation. It boosts calcium without raising alkalinity. This ESV product worked as it was supposed to. It's not for long term use but for the set of circumstances described, it does its job. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
