Dissapointed by Aquanut

Comments: I purchased this item 2/14/2008. I read the reviews and made my decision on the Koralia 3. It moved a lot of water in my 75 Gallon AGA and my fish & coral seemed to like it. It ran perfectly until I was ready to leave hours before my vacation 6/27/2008 when I discovered it was dead in the water. I did not have it hooked up to a wave maker or timer as it ran continuously. Luckily I had an old AquaClear Powerhead lying around to use in the interim until I get another circulation pump. I'm not sure if I am willing to take another chance on the Koralia.
I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I've got two of these in my 55. Water is swirling all around my live rock and agitating the surface making some nice little waves. Very pleased.

Comments: Pro's - Works great, good movement, GREAT price. Design is great. Magnet is a wonder. At LFS and the price was double. Fish love it corals love it. Con's - Does not like wavemaker. Rough start each time. Has blown the caps off the front due to rattle on start up.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Great flow at low power by stucknarut

Comments: My new favorite powerhead. Very high GPH - almost too much for my 90G long, a third the wattage of my Maxijet 1200, nice wide pattern, and I really like the magnetic mount - don't have to hang over the edge of the tank, so it'll mount anywhere.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Koralia 3 in 72 gal bowfront by NICK BAKER

Comments: I purchased two of these pumps for my 72 gal bowfront and put one on each side.  The current is great compaired to the set up I used to have.  I do not run them on a wavemaker because of how it will shorten the pumps life.  Between my return pump and the two koralias I have a great cross current that makes a back and forth motion similar to a wavemaker.  For this size tank I would maybe recommend 1 koralia 3 and 1 koralia 4 for a little more water flow.  Overall I am very happy with the performance of these pumps and I will continue to use them until something better comes out.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Great Powerhead by CALEB

Comments: I had the zoomed heads before and they werw terrible. After a few months they quit swaying and lost flow due to corraline growth. Thes pumps are simple construction, easy to clean and have nothing to get gummed up. They provide excellent flow and mount with both suction cups and magnets.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Good flow, easy placement by Chuck C

Comments: This powerhead was too much flow for my 46 gallon tank. I had to position in such a way as not to disturb the sand bed too much (as in creating a massive sand drift), and food moved so quickly that the fish had trouble catching it (to which I began to unplug it during feedings). Despite all that, I am really impressed with the Koralia series, especially the integrated magnet design. I now use this one my tub I mix salt water in, and leave it overnight--no worries about mixing or oxygenating the water. One other note, I read many comments around not using these with a wave maker and I can tell why. When they start up the impeller puts force against the front guard, and takes a split second seat while making a bit of a rattling noise (seriously all in less than a seconds time, then near-silent operation). I had one case where the front guard jumped off, though I didn't check to make sure it was tight either. In any case, I would recommend these for constant flow only.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
