Way too chaotic flow by eaze

Comments: If you want a truly wide flow like Tunze streams or Maxi-mods then forget the Koralias. They look good, mount very well, but the flow is way too chaotic. Instead of creating a wide dispersed flow it created a flow that went out of the powerhead in two sideways directions. I believe they need to redesign the propeller inside the pump. If you moded these to have more of a maxi-mod propeller they may be very good.
I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have on in my 110 gallon and it's not great at all. Don't choose it. It doesn't stay where you want it to stay it will drop and starts to blows the water to the ground. Select another one.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Recieved the pump very fast, Kudos to MarineDeot. Love the flow in my 90 gallon reef. Can't beat this pump for the money. I placed it on the side, and it kicks all the way back, with tons of random flow. Never had any Tunze pumps, so I can't compare them, but I would buy these again, the size is a little big, but that does not bother me. It will be covered with coraline soon enough, and it will blend right in.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: While I do question the integtrity and longevity of the two units I bought, being manufactured from cheaper materials, the idea they are built around is sound. It is nice to be able to create moderate flow in a much larger cylindrical area than traditional powerheads and not worry about blasting corals and fishes around with it, as the pump creates more of a vortex rather than a 'flat' laminar jet. It is a very good investment for the price; at less than thrity dollars apiece, for an extra 900 gph or so each (my estimate:),I think this is a great buy. It has really helped the circulation in my 90 RR, and they do a good job of keeping detritus in suspension, but do not blast the sand on the bottom around.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I chose 2 K4's for my 110 gallon tall reef tank. I wanted to have 1 on each side. Very easy installation. Very powerful wide flow. Too powerfull to be exact. I had to take one out. I had two Royal Grammas that had taken up residence one either side of the tank. One didn't like the water movement so they've moved in with each other now. :) The only down side is the size. They're pretty big and pretty much take up a 3x5 inch square where the unit is installed. Magnet is very powerful and works great. No slippage what so ever. I wish these could be hooked up to a reef maker.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Great Flow by DannyUF

Comments: This pump has excellent flow, not too strong, not too soft. I had to use the fish cover/directional flow because if I didn't the flow of the water was everywhere and started stirring up the sandbed. No complains at all because for the price you cannot beat this pump. Very gentle flow and seems to mimic actual oceanic flow. I use the Koralia 4 along with my return pump on my 72g bowfront.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Definitely needs the directional cone on it to use it as I did to "sweep" the length of the tank floor. I installed two, on timers so that the floor is "swept" in opposite directions every two hours.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I bought two of the Hydor Koralia pumps for my tank and they are rated as 1,200 gph. I some how feel it is not tru since I have a Tunze Stream rated 1,849 gph and there is a big difference. I must admit there is a big $$$ difference also. The plastic seems to be a little fragil and when you place the fish grid it reduces the flow A LOT!!! Over all I think they are OK for what they cost!!
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
