Comments:
I seen some reviews that say that this electronic heater will not cycle on and off like the rest but will automatically adjust their output as needed (very much like an automatic dimmer)to maintain an accurate temperature. Not so, the only difference is that instead of using a mechanical switch (that almost always limit the usefull life of the heater, or worst, fuses its contacts and slowly kills everything in the proccess of making aquarium soup) it usues a solid state one that is supposed to be more inmune to that disaster. Like all heaters that have the thermostat inside the device, is unable to accuratly read the temperature of the aquarium water because the thermostat unit will always be influenced by its own device heat. Next time, I will get one that uses an independent thermostat. If you are looking for accuracy, is the only way to go. On the plus side, for the price is not a bad deal because it seems to be of decent quality. It should come with a grid included to protect against accidental burns and glass damage.
