Introducing the new 250/400 HQI pendant. The pendant accepts both 250 Watt and 400 Watt HQI bulbs by simply adjusting the ceramic lamps sockets. These pendants are built to last, made from Aluminum, which is powder coated and guaranteed to never rust. The computer designed reflector system incorporates the 95% reflectivity of “Alanod Miro 4”, the best reflective material available. All Aluminum construction - made in the USA Comes with a long quick disconnect harness Adjustable ceramic double ended bulb holders Low profile design provides wide light spread CAD designed reflector made of 95% reflective aluminum Made for a saltwater environment Made to accomodate all versions of the 400-watt DE MH bulbs Easily adjusts from 250 to 400-watt bulbs Pendant comes with tempered glass shield Finally a pendant you don`t outgrow Dimensions (L x W X H): 15" x 8.75" x 5" Recommended for any 40 gallon or larger tank. Can be connected to any IceCap electronic or your 250 or 400-watt MH ballast. Female adaptors are available to make any ballast a quick disconnect. When you have plans for a larger tank or just the flexibility to change your lighting, the best becomes the least expensive pick. Sent it back to the manufacturer and they finally repaired it and sent it back. The new ones have different wires Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends. Awesome Pendant by NICK POMA Experience Level: Intermediate Posted on 5/20/2008 from SAN DIEGO, CA UNITED STATES Comments: I have the current-usa solana tank (20x20x20) and I just added the ice cap with the lumatek ballast. The pendant at 6 inches above the tank or even a little lower if you want gives great light coverage both front to back and side to side. It could be used on a bigger tank with no problems at all. Using the 250w phoenix bulb it looks a little on the blue side but the corals look great. I also bought the hanging kit. You have to go to a hardware store and buy a hook to hang it check my review on that. As for the tank heating up I used a 4 inch clip on fan and the tank was at 80 degrees at the end of the day with the ambient temp in the house at 86. All in all an awesome pendant. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
