This review is regarding coralline algae removal and blade quality. ADVANTAGES: These blades will be around for awhile since KENT is a well established company, effective at scraping when new, safe since they are thick and not overtly sharp like a razor, color coded glass versus acrylic types, and they fit tightly on whichever handle you use. DISADVANTAGES: blades are cheaply made and bend easily, expensive especially since you need to replace blades to continue effective cleaning, and they can be hard to remove due to the plastic notch that holds the blade in place. CONCLUSION: Since these are the blades that work with the Kent marine proscrapers, I buy them. However my main use for these blades are on the long handled scraper for hard to reach areas. Overall these blades work well on a small job (a few silver dollar sized spots here and there) but anything bigger and you will be using more than one blade and more than likely will need to use a hand scraper combined with a long handled scraper to address all the coralline algae in the tank.
