Comments: I just wanted to chime in with my own experience with the product. I find reading people's thoughts on other products here very helpful. I've been using Instant Ocean salt, which is chronically low in magnesium. While many people don't test for magnesium, it's extremely important to being able to keep high and balanced calcium and alkalinity levels. If you're having problems with getting calcium over 400ppm, low mag is very likely your culprit. IO salt mixes at about 1080ppm when really, mag levels should be over 1200ppm...and preferably in the 1375ppm range. This product does work quite well. I just caution you that you will need a LOT no matter what product you buy. It takes a substantial amount of liquid (or powder) to get back to where you may need to be. It's not that the product isn't as good as others. It'll be the same with them all. Quick example: In powder form, a 200ppm deficiency which is quite common, usually takes about 2lbs of crystals to rectify. To move 300ppm in my case, I'll need just shy of 32oz just to get me back to the starting point, and I'll use it less frequently at that point just to maintain it. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Works great. Keeps my 215 gal. reef in range with 45 ml/day. If you happen to get the gallon size and notice that the solution turns dark (something is getting oxidized) after a couple of months no worries it doesn't affect the outcome. I like having separate control from the calcium reactor. I can make faster adjustments than if I mix a magnesium source into the reactor. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
