Comments: I was usinf a different product that was very easy to use drops. but once I got used to it this kit is much more accurate. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Too much diluting and math involved in this test! I'm back to using my Salifert! I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Complicated Test Kit by AlBeThere

Comments: I'm always on the look out for accurate test kits, especially with calcium and alk. I use the LaMotte Alk test kit and really like it. The LaMotte Alk kit is easy to use and provides a very specific reading. The color change is very obvious. I was expecting the same from the LaMotte Calcium test kit, but, unfortunately, I was very disapponted. The Calcium kit is well made and appears to be very accurate (if you can distinguish the final color change), but it is complicated to use for salt water, having to mix 1.0ml of test water with 11.9ml of distilled water. The color change from pink to purple is easy to see but the final color change from purple to blue is very hard to differentiate. I wouldn't buy this test kit again. I've tried another brand that is made by an Italian company that is just getting started in the US. Their calcium test kits, although not as specific in it's final reading, are much easier to use and made to a very high standard. This will be the calcium test kit I use in the future. I would not recommend this product to my friends.
