This is a fired ceramic disk that does not need to be soaked before using. They are excellent for zoanthid growout and color up nicely in your tank. We like the 5 and 10 position best! They help so much to have all our frags stay in one place without the worry of them falling down and get burried under our sand. The 20-position has holes that are too close together. It's okay for plugs not disks. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends. So I got this and the smaller one and am happy with them both. They come with frag plugs and also hold most frag plugs available much better then trying to wedge them between rocks.
