Description

The Coral Food is unique in its concept and presentation. In the case of hermatype corals and clams, the primary energy requirements will be provided by the photosynthesis activity of the zooxanthellae, therefore, appropriate illumination is essential above all. However, supplementary food is also needed, but many hobbyists with small tanks are reluctant to feed their corals as the risk of polluting the water due to overfeeding is great. Therefore, Ocean Nutrition has included beneficial pro-biotic bacteria in the food, resulting in a tremendous reduction of risk in case of overfeeding or in the case where the food ends up in inaccessible areas. The food literally cleans up after itself. The food is micro-encapsulated with a very high HUFA (Highly Unsaturated Fatty Acids) content and a very high DHA/EPA ratio (the ratio of DHA fatty acids compared to EPA fatty acids). Since the particles are micro-encapsulated, all nutrients are in one sealed packet which avoids leaching in the water and every particle has the same complete composition. The free flow characteristics are excellent and the spread in the water column ideal. The food includes a wide range of particle sizes from 30 microns to 150 microns enabling easy uptake by most organisms. The product is easy to use by dispersing in the water or for target feeding.
