Red Sea MG Test

Comments:
Had been using the Salifert test, but decided to try and save a little money. I am not satisfied with this test kit and could not recommend it to anyone. The price is about half the salifert test, but you only get about half the amount of reagent, so it's half the tests for half the money. No money saved here. Requires a 15 second wait between each of 5 drops of chemical A. Easy to lose count of the drops here (at least for me). Syringe tip did not seat firmly on syringe which created problems including having the tip fall off halfway through the test. Additionally, I found it difficult to control the amount of reagent added with the red sea syringe. I ended up using the syringe left over from my salifert test. They must have moved from a drop based test to a syringe based test and they have not bothered to change their manufacturing proces to remove the dropper tip from the reagent bottle. The user has to do this themselves (a minor nuisance). I would not purchase this test again.
I would not recommend this product to my friends.

A little more difficult to use than some of the other Red Sea test products, but not bad.

I like the product which gives very acurate results, but took some getting used to & time to realize that the syringe which pulls out reagent C NEVER fills up to the 1.0 mm line (only fills up to .8 with the air bubble), they give you a seperate pamphelt with instructions on this and tell you the formula for converting this to a useful number. This test does take more time than other, but gives a acurate & trustworthy result - well worth the time.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
