I've had this fixture for two years now and it works very well. All of my SPS corals have had great growth once I changed out the bulbs it came with for ATI bulbs. But, two of my 4 LED moonlights have already burned out and another is starting to go. Also, this fixture has to be the hardest fixture to change the bulbs out as the reflectors are so close the bulbs that you can't get your fingers in there to turn them. After I couldn't do it, I had to bring it to the LFS for help and together it took us about 1 hour to change bulbs! But, unlike other reviews, I have had no issues with the timer.

Reasonably easy to set up and get running. Have it set up on 90g reef tank and have no problems w/ several corals and bubble tip anemone.
The programming is easy to do -- one thing, no battery backup for the programming is an inconvenience. If you lose power it reverts to the stock program.

First off, I do really like this light. It looks great and my tank is thriving with it. Now, the problem I have is with the legs it came with. For some reason they're too big for a typical 55 gallon aquarium. Only about a half inch of surface per leg actually sits on my tank, which seems tight. Plus, they only allow for about 3 inches of height to get into the tank. If you have an Aqua C protein skimmer you'll need some spacer blocks to lift the light higher off your aquarium or it simply won't sit on the tank. I will say that suspending the light will solve all these problems, but as I rent and have plaster ceilings, that's not an option for me at this point. So, my final word is Excellent light with very poor legs to sit it on a tank. Seems like an easy task that should have been thought out for such an expensive piece of equipment.

Good product except for two important flaws:
1. If you have a power outage, time and your timer settings are lost.
2. The six and probably the eight bulb unit will trip a GFCI electrical socket. In the
United States, GFCI will trip at 5 milliamps leakage plus or minus 1 milliamp.
With all six lamps lit, leakage equals approx 4.5 milliamps. I came home from
work to find my tank shut down thanks to this 6 bulb unit. I have to run the
lights on a none GFCI circuit.

This is top of the line. Extremely well built. The built in timer is easy to use and comes with a pre programmed run time. Well worth the price.

I have been useing the 48" on a 120 mixed reef around 10 months now. The light is more than adequate I would think for any coral. I have all the common corals but no SPS. The ones I have do real well under the lamp. Now is the not so great. The lens cracked at the spot were you pull it out the first time it was removed. Two of the leds went out within the first 6 months. The timer works very well and is a great feature. Problem is you need a ladder and flash light to set it. I find it hard to see because of the hight and angle it was placed. The timer goes to a default seting when power goes out so you need to reset it. Not that big of a deal but if you didnt know it went out your light cycle is now messed up. The bulbs that come with it are very cheap. I replaced the bulbs with some ATI around month 3 that was a good move. This morning I went to feed the tank and one of the bulbs was out. I switched the bulbs and it is still not on. So seems like it has yet a new problem.I have not called ther cust service I have to assume they would take care of it. I think I will try some LEDs in place of the bulb type. My over all opinion after useing this lamp is it cost to much to have all the problems it has. The only acceptable fix would be for them to replace the unit. Im not thinking that is going to happen. SO if you get one of them, good luck.
