AquaMaxx Cone-Series In-Sump Protein Skimmers efficiently remove organic waste from aquarium water. A powerful needle wheel pump generates optimally-sized air bubbles that force protein, waste and other materials into a collection cup for easy removal. The AquaMaxx Cone-Series is rated for aquariums up to 1000 gallons.

AquaMaxx Cone-Series Skimmers are built using a brilliantly polished cell-cast acrylic. They incorporate the high-end features hardcore hobbyists demand at a price everyone can afford. The Cone-Series is equipped with bubble plates, hybrid-cone bodies, air silencers and needle wheel impellers for maximum performance, efficiency and whisper quiet operation. They also have compact footprints to make installation as easy as possible.

Comments: I got this second hand from a hobbyist who had to break down his tank. I was surprised at how well it worked. It really does a good job at removing waste from your tank. Pulls out a bunch of gunk. I like it.

Comments: I think this skimmer is right on par as far as performance goes with some of the extreme priced skimmers. Very quiet with great adjustability and a small footprint not mention the very efficient Sicce pump. I am a big Aquamaxx fan after this purchase.

Comments: just got my first skimmer, and yes the reviews and the customer support were right. when they recommended this skimmer. first of all it fits my sump footprint, second it is so easy to setup and just plug in and its starts skimming. easy to adjust the water level. I ordered this skimmer because it was +1-1/2 larger than what my tank is rated. so in the future if i get a large rtank then i can use this skimmer I will definitly recommend this skimmer to a beginner like me and even for the expert. Thanks for the customer support

Comments: Purchased the Cone 3 to replace a smaller unit that was not rated for my tank of 225 gallons. Its been almost a week, not quite broken in yet but its pulling out a good amount of stuff, still a bit wet though. Build quality is excellent. Simple design, was up and running in 5 minutes(after I rinsed it of course). Powerful pump, sucks in a ton of air, but super quiet. No pump noise, vibration noise, or air gurgle noise. The sound of my main pump(Iwaki MD-55alt) is all I hear. Very easy to adjust. Very finely chopped bubbles and really packs out the chamber. Big collection cup a plus and very easy to take off and put back on. Similar skimmers that are rated for 500+ gal are way over priced. Great value, Great skimmer.

Comments: I replaced a skimmer that I thought was pretty good with this, and I'm thoroughly impressed. Right away it was pulling good skimmate out. After about three days, it was performing at a high level. The skimmer is well-built and easy to set up and adjust and I would recommend it as a great value for the price.
