AquaMaxx Fiji Premium is a 100% naturally collected from the ocean and is the most widely used rock in the reef aquarium hobby. It is porous and no two rocks are alike giving you the ability to create unique and functional aquascapes. Because the rock is sun dried before it ships, it is free of live pests and hitch-hikers commonly found on naturally collected living rock.

PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS

  • 100% naturally collected from the ocean
  • Porous and lightweight
  • You get more volume per pound than living rock
  • Natural pores aid in biological filtration, water circulation and provide hiding places for fish and invertebrate
  • Available in 2 box sizes: 25 lbs. and 50 lbs.
This rock may contain dead organisms; it is highly recommended that you cure the rock before use in a living aquarium.

Please Note:

  • Rock is weighed before shipment, containing 25 lbs or more. However, depending on rock size, density, original moisture content, etc. the total weight after delivery may be less in some cases.
  • Each box will contain a variety of rocks of different sizes and shapes.
  • We are unable to take any special requests for rocks of a particular dimension or size.
  • Due to the fragile nature of this rock, it is possible for the rock to break during shipment. We do our best to package the rock sufficiently to minimize damages. As UPS does not consider this item insurable, we are unable to replace or refund damaged pieces. It is possible to attach multiple pieces together using aquarium epoxy in order to make large shelves or repair damaged rock.

Q
Can I add this rock into my new tank that I will be cycling or do I need to cure it before?

Hi Mike, Thanks for your question. If you are adding a large quantity of dry rock to an established aquarium it will go through the cycle. A few small pieces will not be an issue but for a larger quantity it is best to cure it before adding to an established tank. You can soak the rocks in salt water and add a bacterial supplement along with a heater and circulation pump to get the cycle going. Adding an ammonia source will be helpful also.

Q
Is this stone good for freshwater tank?
Is this stone good for freshwater tank?

A
No, this rock is generally recommended for use inside a saltwater aquarium because it will buffer the water resulting in higher pH levels and will slowly release calcium into the water. In most cases this is not ideal for freshwater aquariums but this all depends on the type of freshwater aquarium you plan to keep. If you do decide to use this rock, I do recommend a good soaking in freshwater for 1-2 weeks or more before placing into your FW tank.

REVIEW
I was nervous when ordering 25 pounds that I would either get too big of pieces or too little of pieces. I was surprised with several big pieces and several small pieces. Rock was cleaned and appears to be cured or close to it. I brushed some stuff off and air cleaned it. Very pleased.

I normally get pukani, but can't get it anymore. Pukani is really dirty rock. This Aquamaxx Fiji rock is clean, big and beautiful. I will be curing it and will order more.

REVIEW
I only ordered 25 Lbs., but the rock stacks nicely. It came out of the box relatively clean and intact. It has cured quickly and has accumulated a lot of coralline in a short amount of time with a little bit of live sand. I would definately use it again. Looks great and the price was equally...Read More

REVIEW
Out of the 100lbs I ordered I ended up with only 4 pieces that were about the size of a cantaloupe, and the rest were softball size and smaller. Very disappointed in the size of the rock, however there are some really cool looking ones. I wish you could request what size you are looking to get IE: S...Read More
