AquaMaxx Reef Welder is a new and superior alternative to 2-part epoxies and other reef glues. The plastic pellets have a melting point of 140ºF/62ºC and can be reused over and over again. When melted, the pellets fuse together and become transparent and soft. Once it cools, it becomes opaque* and hard, yet flexible.

*Reef Welder - Purple includes a mix of white and purple pellets. When mixed, it will blend to a purple-pinkish color to better blend in with the coralline algae in your aquarium.

As Reef Welder is 100% non-toxic, it does not affect your aquarium`s water chemistry and will not cause your protein skimmer to overflow. Perfect for gluing reef rock together or for attaching corals to your rockwork. It is also biodegradable (in soil conditions).

Made in England (UK) with ultra-high purity materials.

Directions
  • Mix Reef Welder pellets in hot water (does not need to be boiling hot).
  • Soak the pellets for 2 minutes or until all the pellets have become clear.
  • Carefully remove fused pellets and mold/knead by hand.
  • Apply resin to surface and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Reef Welder will harden as it cools.

Modable Concrete for Live Rock

reviewerbadge
PROS
Easy to use, reusable, make super sculptures underwater easy
CONS
Wish there was more than two colors, I like my purple though
REVIEW
I love this stuff. So easy to use, I was skeptical at first but as soon as I used it, it was like playing with a baby bag of concrete to mold my rocks and aquascape without worrying my rocks are going to fall on my coral or crush my livestock. I’ve used other products and they all have their advan...Read More

Reef welder hot!

reviewerbadge
PROS
Holds rock together
CONS
Had to use boiling water, not nearly mmalleable enough for fragging, needed a lot used 1750 ml for a 120 lbs of rock.
REVIEW
I found that it works very well to glue rock together. However I can't imagine it working for fragging.

Most importantly I had to use boiling water for it to be anywhere nearly malleable the 140° wasn't cutting it.

PROS
extremely easy to use, little bit goes a long way
CONS
Gotta act fast when using it to glue corals to your rock work, ( product cools down fast )
REVIEW
This stuff is the bees knees! I was curious on how well Aquamaxx's Reef Welder would work. And I am very pleased with how easy it is to work! One of my favorite things about it is how a little bit can go a long way. Works amazing with glueing corals to your rock and using it to weld your aqua scape!

PROS
Amazing bonding power to hold live rock.
CONS
Water must be very hot to activate
REVIEW
First time using this type of product. I usually dry stack my live rock (30 year hobbyist), but this time I wanted several shelf rocks that would cantilever off bases and I didn't want to use rods or zips ties. This did the trick, I used this out of water on rock that was still wet. Haven't use...Read More

PROS
Nice color. Blends in with the live rock. Sets in fast compared to traditional underwater epoxies.
CONS
sets too fast. sometimes, you will have to sandwich it with gel glue but that's with all epoxies.

PROS
Will bond well and hold, can be used underwater if you are very quick with it
CONS
Has to be very hot to work properly, can be very distracting and ugly in tank if you don't give yourself a few test runs with it first
REVIEW
This product works great but I would recommend getting a fairly large container in order to experiment with it's use first. Also will require you to heat up the water much more than directions say to do
