During the month of January, when you buy the ATI DP-6 Dosing Pump (with 6 programmable channels!) and ATI Lab Test Kit (for ICP-OES complete water analysis!) TOGETHER, you will receive a 3-piece ATI Essentials supplement set for FREE — that`s a $35.95 value! Offer valid only while supplies last.
The ATI DP-6 is an aquarium dosing pump equipped with 6 programmable channels you can use to automatically dispense liquids like additives, foods, and even top-off water.
Most dosing pumps for reef tanks are only capable of dosing 4 liquids and require expensive sold separately extensions to dose more. The DP-6 from ATI has 6 professional-grade peristaltic pumps that you can program or operate manually and it costs less than other auto dosing pumps in its class.
The DP-6 doser has a controller built right into the top of it with a LCD display and touch pad to easily schedule your dosing regimen. You can automate 2-part calcium and alkalinity, Kalkwasser, trace elements, live or prepared foods, and even fertilizers and liquid CO2 if you have a planted tank.
If you have a reef tank, it is strongly recommended to have your essential element levels tested regularly by ATI Labs while using the ATI DP-6 Dosing Pump. You can then fine-tune your tank`s health by dosing ATI Elements instead of doing water changes to try and correct water chemistry.
The elements and nutrients corals and invertebrates use to survive must be replenished. If a reef aquarium is fully stocked, they may need to be replenished daily. Setting up a reef dosing pump to administer the proper amount of elements and nutrients for your reef tank can be an enormous benefit. Not only to your sanity, but to the animals that call your tank home.
The peristaltic dosing pumps used in the DP-6 are perfect for dosing fluids into aquariums because they deliver them at a safe, precise and controlled rate. They are also self-priming and can draw fluids/supplements out of a dosing container, into the pump and then into your aquarium without any harm to the pump itself.
The DP-6 is designed to be used in conjunction with ATI ICP-OES Water Analysis (a mail-in lab quality water testing service) and ATI Essentials and ATI Elements.
When you arm yourself with truly accurate water quality measurements, the elements your reef needs, and a means to safely deliver those elements into your aquarium, performing partial water changes to correct water chemistry or compensate for trace elements will became a thing of the past. You will ultimately save time, money, and grow more robust and colorful corals!
ATI Lab is an aquarium water testing service that measures 43 different water parameters using an ARCOS II ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma - Optical Emission Spectrometry) machine along with two other test techniques to provide you with a complete and comprehensive water analysis. The kit contains 3 test tubes to sample both your RO water and aquarium water for a complete analysis at an incredible price.
Results are available online and future tests are recorded in your profile so you can chart your tank’s history.
The ARCOS II ICP-OES machine can detect trace element concentrations in your aquarium water down to 1 µg/l (0.001mg/l). Measurements are affected by salinity so that readings are accurate and results can be counted on with complete certainty.

ATI Lab water testing service is designed to be used in conjunction with ATI Essentials and ATI Elements supplements.
Once you are armed with truly accurate water quality measurements from ATI Lab, you can use ATI Essentials for the day-to-day replenishment of major and minor elements and ATI Elements to fill in the occasional gap.
Performing partial water changes to correct water chemistry or compensate for trace elements will became a thing of the past. You will ultimately save time, money, and grow more robust and colorful corals!
To keep your reef tank parameters stable and at ideal levels, use the ATI DP-6 Dosing Pump to automatically dispense your favorite ATI brand supplements.
ATI Essentials is a complete support system that is easily tuned to the needs of your reef aquarium. In addition to calcium, magnesium and carbonates, ATI Essentials includes all of the necessary trace elements to support the biology of a reef tank.
The ATI Essentials Set is comprised of 3 bottles and is available in 2 sizes:
Mixing the solutions for dosing is easy although the instructions vary slightly for the different bottle sizes so pay close attention to the instructions before you begin. For each bottle of ATI Essentials, combine 1 part product to 9 parts RO/DI water.
In short, ATI Essentials #1 is mixed with RO/DI water until clear then stored in a food safe container (like HDPE plastic). ATI Essentials #2 and #3 are prepared the same way.
What You`ll Need
Recommended but not required
You begin by dosing ATI Essentials #1, #2, and #3 in equal amounts. For example, if you dose 10 mL of #1 per day, you will also dose 10 mL of #2 and 10 mL of #3 per day. But first you need to determine the starting dose and there are various possibilities.
If you already know your daily KH/alkalinity consumption, the optimal dosage can be worked out from the following formula: 36 mL of ATI Essentials increases KH/alkalinity in 100 liters (26.4 gallons) of aquarium water by 1° KH. Once you know how much of ATI Essentials #1 to dose, you will dose the same amount of #2 and #3 per day.
If you are already dosing a KH balancing solution using this recipe — 420 g NaHCO3 in 5 liters (1.32 gallons) or 840 g NaHCO3 in 10 liters (2.64 gallons) — you should dose the same amount of ATI Essentials as you did with your previous solution.
It is extremely important to measure your KH/alkalinity on a daily basis when you begin dosing ATI Essentials so that you can fine-tune the dosage.
If you have never dosed your aquarium before using ATI Essentials, please follow these guidelines:
RECOMMENDED DAILY STARTING DOSE FOR DIFFERENT TANK TYPES | |
---|---|
New aquariums and/or tanks with few corals | 5 mL of ATI Essentials per 100 L (26.4 gallons) |
Soft corals and anemones | 10 mL of ATI Essentials per 100 L (26.4 gallons) |
A mixed reef with SPS, LPS, and soft corals | 25 mL of ATI Essentials per 100 L (26.4 gallons) |
A SPS dominant tank | 50 mL of ATI Essentials per 100 L (26.4 gallons) |
Much more detailed information about dosing is included in the instructional manual, such as what to do if you have an uneven consumption of calcium and alkalinity.
With the balanced formulation of ATI Essentials, performing partial water changes to correct water chemistry or compensate for trace elements are no longer completely necessary. The benefits of this will be visible in the health and growth of your corals.
