The Perfect Skimmer for your Coralife BioCube 29 Gallon!

The SR3 is an in-sump skimmer that features a baffle system that minimizes it`s footprint while utilizing the maximum height for increased contact time with the bubbles, which removes the excess organics from the system. Its narrow footprint is perfect for small sump spaces including the BioCube 29 tank by Oceanic, and now Coralife (non-clamp on light model only). The SR3 fits in the middle chamber of the sump section on the BioCube 29 without any modifications and allows the lid to fully close. The SR3 is also a great option for Dutch style aquariums and other built -in filtration aquariums, or any system with limited space for a protein skimmer.

  • Includes side mounted venturi pump to fit into confined spaces.
  • Dual return chamber and underwater return to effectively remove excess bubbles.
  • Simple skimmer adjustment using CPR`s collection cup assembly and O-ring support.
  • Easily slides inside of the Oceanic (and Coralife) BioCube 29 sump area; fits in the middle chamber of the sump section of the BioCube 29 without any modifications except for the removal of the bio balls. The lid closes as originally manufactured and the collection cup can be easily removed for cleaning through the rear access hatch.
  • Rated up to 50G aquariums with medium bioload and normal tank maintenance.
  • Dimensions 8 5/8"L x 2 7/8"W x 14 3/8"H
  • 19"H: including space needed to remove collection cup.

CPR SR3 Protein Skimmer

The Skimmer is very noisy. Too noisy for me as my bio cube is in my bedroom. I have been back and forth with adjusting air flow intake to try and suppress the noise while balancing the collection cup position to maintain the skimming process. This skimmers collection cup will not allow me to close the rear door of my canopy and with the canopy open the noise is terrible. Skimming waste? Not a good fit for my aquarium needs. If anyone can suggest a better skimmer for my 29 gallon bio cube please drop me a note.

skimmer produceing nothing

I bought this skimmer 3 weeks ago and been running it 24/7 @this point skimmer has produced nothing!!!! I am running this skimmer in my 29 gallon coralife bio cube,at the start I ran w/o skimmer and let tank settle with live rock 20 lbs yes I still need 10 more lbs the tank now has about 5 fish that wer added at 1 per week so ther is definetly waste in tank that needs to be skimmed.I am not happy with tis purchase at all and my patience r almost done collection cup setup is a joke as it is hard to adjust,I just ordered new skimmer and will see how it goes I will not start new skimmer until I talk to customer service who has been very nice and help is there I am hoping it is just something stupid that I may be missing air flow adjustment etc...if anyone has any helpful hints my ears r open not a pro here just frustrated that my tank is cloudy and all the fussing I have done with collection cup ppppplease help aggravated this is supposed to be relaxing not stressfull
