How to Acclimate Clean Up Crew Invertebrates To Your Reef Aquarium

How to Acclimate Clean Up Crew Invertebrates To Your Reef Aquarium

Invertebrates is a broad term that refers to a wide range of marine animals that lack a spinal column. This covers many of the unique organisms we keep in reef aquariums like corals, crabs, shrimp, snails, clams, mollusks, sponges, and anemones.

Invert acclimation is critical because they are sensitive to changes in salinity, far more than a fish. Simply floating the bag they came in inside your tank only equalizes the temperature but does nothing to match the water chemistry. For this reason, drip acclimation is highly recommended—and we'll show you just how to do it!

Why Chasing Colors is Better Than
Chasing Numbers

Many thanks to everyone who joined our live Q&A with Jeremy Howell of Brightwell Aquatics. We quizzed Jeremy about phosphate, nitrate, water testing, dosing, and a whole lot more to learn how to achieve better coral coloration. If you weren’t able to join us on the call, we recorded the audio so you can listen at your convenience. Don't forget to take our listener survey to help us improve!
