How to Acclimate Clean Up Crew Invertebrates To Your Reef Aquarium
Invertebrates is a broad term that refers to a wide range of marine animals that lack a spinal column. This covers many of the unique organisms we keep in reef aquariums like corals, crabs, shrimp, snails, clams, mollusks, sponges, and anemones.
Invert acclimation is critical because they are sensitive to changes in salinity, far more than a fish. Simply floating the bag they came in inside your tank only equalizes the temperature but does nothing to match the water chemistry. For this reason, drip acclimation is highly recommended—and we'll show you just how to do it!
