Magnesium plays an important role in many biological processes, e.g. takes part in the construction of hard coral’s calcium carbonate skeleton. Due to its unique chemical properties it has significant impact on seawater buffering capacity, and also prevents excessive precipitation of calcium carbonate on aquarium equipment. An adequate level of Magnesium is crucial in maintaining proper Calcium and Alkalinity balance in reef aquaria, so should be analysed regularly (with Calcium and Alkalinity levels).
The concentration of Magnesium in natural seawater is between 1260-1460 mg/l (ppm), and in order to ensure proper function in marine aquaria, Magnesium should vary between 6.5-8.0 dKH for Ultra Low Nutrient Systems (ULNS). Higher values are permissible for aquariums with higher nutrients.

Aquaforest got its start in 1995 manufacturing substrates and aquatic plant fertilizers for zoos, aquariums, and professional plant farms. They soon expanded into farming their own aquatic plants, fish & corals, and invested heavily into research for developing their own sea salt, foods, and supplements to maintain those farms. Aquaforest’s products became available for retail in 2011 after many years of honing and perfecting their craft. The entire range – including test kits, supplements, salts, foods, and more-- has gained significant attention from marine aquarists worldwide.

Yes, I would recommend this.
Its ok...not surprise to me
Pros: Price point, accurate, not to complicated
Cons: Sometimes you can get air into the reactor bottles..
The test kit its fine...accurate its the most important, and this its accurate, but to many steps, sometimes the reactors bottles get air and you miss some drops mixing with air... do you need some practice , but in to the end i think its a good mag test kit
