Yes, I would recommend this.

Fits 5 gallon buckets too.

Pros: Fits on edge of buckets, rigid, smooth edges, screws can go on both sides.

Cons: No height adjustment. Only comes in one color. If you only use screws on one side then you may not like seeing unused holes on the other side.

Firm holder that fits well on the tank or a 5 gallon bucket. Being able to use the screws on either side is a bonus too. The edges are smooth so I don't have to worry about getting cut. It's rigid so it can hold a loaded socket no problem.

Great sock holders

Pros: made of high-quality acrylic

Cons: none

Very well built with high quality acyclic. Defiantly more than what I expected them to be when I opened the box. I would recommend them to anyone who doesn't have a sump designed to hold filter socks.

Short screws

Pros: Seems very strong

Cons: Short screws. Won't attach securely to thin glass

Had high hopes of this filter sock holder. Unfortunately, this holder does not work well with thin acrylic or glass sumps. The screws don't seem to be long enough for a secure hold. The holder falls forward. If you have a thicker glass or acrylic sump, I'm sure this holder will work fine.

Waste of money

Pros: Quality materials

Cons: Too big... measure twice, cut once

I purchased 3 of the 7" filter sock holders and not a single one was the correct size, I have dozens of filter socks and not a single one fit into this holder. Holder is built too large and all of my filter socks fall right through... Complete waste of money

Nice... But...

The filter sock hanger is made very well and is a good product but it hangs to low in the sump. I wished it was made to hang a little higher. Otherwise it's a good solid product.

7" sock holder

Seven inch filter socks slip out of the seven inch holder as the socks fill. Socks do not seat securely. I cut 1/2" wide gaskets or retainers from the bottom of plastic pails to hold the sock and prevent it from slipping through, works fine with the gasket. Might possibly work better with a different brand of filter sock?
