INTRODUCING THE AQUAMAXX CTECH T-1 CALCIUM REACTOR
AquaMaxx cTech T-1 Calcium Reactors use an up-flow design to mix saltwater, calcium carbonate and CO2 inside a reaction chamber to eliminate the need for daily two-part dosing. Not only will the AquaMaxx cTech T-1 Calcium Reactor keep your levels balanced, you will no longer have to calculate daily dosages for your tank. With a seamless body, removable lid for quick media access and a small, space-saving design, the AquaMaxx cTech T-1 Calcium Reactor is truly one-of-a-kind.

Computer-Precision Engineered
AquaMaxx cTech T-1 Calcium Reactors are computer-precision engineered and utilize the latest aquarium technology to deliver unparalleled performance and value. Despite its small form factor and compact footprint, the T-1 is rated for aquariums up to 300 gallons.

An effective and convenient inlet filter helps to trap particulates, extends the life of the pump and makes tuning the effluent drip rate as easy as possible. The high-quality pinch value allows for precise effluent control. Simplified inlet and outlet designs also improve efficiency. The unique pump baffle enclosure helps to minimize noise.

With a built-in a pH probe holder, you can easily keep an eye on the pH inside the calcium reactor with a pH monitor or control the CO2 with a pH controller. A CO2 recovery system re-injects excess/unused CO2. This helps lower CO2 usage and minimizes excess CO2 from going back into your aquarium.

HOBBYIST-FRIENDLY DESIGN FOR QUICK AND EASY MAINTENANCE
AquaMaxx Calcium Reactors were designed from the ground up with the aquarium hobbyist in mind. The computer precision-cut enclosure makes the reactor look and feel seamless.

Cleaning and maintenance is simple. Thumbscrews and keyhole flanges allows for easy removal of the lid.

The workhorse powering the AquaMaxx cTech T-1 Calcium Reactor is the pump. Each reactor is equipped with an Italian-made Sicce Syncra 0.5 pump. These pumps were chosen specifically for their small size, energy-efficient design and whisper-quiet operation.

Q
AquaMaxx cTech T-1 Calcium Reactor I have just ordered this reactor I notice its calling for a aqua lifter pump is required to run it all times on this reactor or is it just in the beginning

A
Yes, your calcium reactor will need a consistant source of flow going into the reactor chamber. You can use the Aqua lifter pump as a good beginner feed pump but I have found that using the Kamoer FX-STP pump to be much more precise. If you are good with plumbing you can choose to manifold off of your main pump and not have to worry about another pump. MD has a good guide on their blog.

PROS
Easy to set up - hold lots of media. VERY quite pump
CONS
Didn’t come with back flow preventer for CO2 line.
REVIEW
Easy to set up - hold a fair amount of media - have it running on a full SPS RS 425XL and it easily keep everything happy. Also using this with. Kamoer continuous dosing pump makes control very easy. Only thing is should come with is a back flow prevent or for the CO2 line.

CTech 1 Calcium reactor

PROS
well built, easy to tune, ability to adjust where the pre-filter is
CONS
Tubing from pre filter to intake isn't long enough to have pre filter on opposite side.
REVIEW
My initial thoughts on the reactor is that it's very well built and solid construction. For my tank, I'm using the recommended CTech-T1. The T1 comes with a Sicce 0.5 recirculation pump and after starting it up, it's very quiet. I like the fact that it has its own baffle to try and keep the noise do...Read More
