Could be a lot better.

Pros: Built it correctly and it will fit.

Cons: Quality is lacking. Parts were missing.

Pretty much a pain to assemble. Lots of cutting and assembly. Parts were missing - reached out to Rea Sea and they were extremely difficult to work with.

Ok but not great

Kit is subpar especially for the price. Pain to cut rails unless you have a power saw. Instructions are worthless and video gives no details. Luckily I'm pretty handy and didn't decent job with it.

Not as bad as you think.

Pros: Really good fit

Cons: Should come with better tools

You just need the right tools and patience. I only gave it 4 stars as I think it should come with a better tool to install the screen. I used one I had from Lowe’s and it made life much easier. Also I glued it together before putting the screen in and it made it a lot easier to put in the screen.

Over priced!!!

Pros: If done right, this Screen kit looks great

Cons: Price

For the price, you pay for this D.I.Y. screen kit, I wished it was at least sized to your particular Red Sea Reefer Aquarium (I have the RSR 425xl). I mean this is made by the Red Sea company, why not? So, I have this D.I.Y. kit, purchased it last year, and still haven't got the nerve or gathered the tools to construct this screen for my 425xl. I've youtubed how to build this product and it seems simple enough (if you have the correct tools). But one mistake and BOOM, you're out of your hard earned money or it will make your high-end aquarium look 2nd rate. I should have done a little more research before I purchased. My advice is to buy this kit only if you have the time and secured in your ability to construct this D.I.Y. screen. Oh and one more thing, I think the screen

A little regretful

Pros: Extra netting, cheap, fast shipping

Cons: Will bow or bend and be lopsided if netting stretched too much

Not every product review goes so swell and my endgame product with this net kit was horrific. I like to have the netting stretched out and straighten my as possible and by doing that the the aluminum pieces are giving in and becoming lopsided. The only nice thing is they give you a lot of extra netting and long enough aluminum so if you make a mistake especially on a smaller tank you can have a little wiggle room to work with. But do not make the netting very stretched or it will bow.

Good idea but hard to put together

Pros: inexpensive, customizable

Cons: hard to attach screen, looks sloppy

The frame came together good although the parts of the frame that were cut looked really rough. The screen was difficult to put on. It constantly tore and it never looked lined up. They would be much better if you could order them fully assembled.

Unsatisfied, low quality to red seas standards

Pros: none

Cons: Flimsy when build, netting is low quality

The trim is easy to cut with a hacksaw and a little filing makes for seamless edges. the net is complete garbage. Coming from a red sea product I'd expect some quality. Creases on the net force you to cut out and choose what side you want to look half decent, the net also rips very easily with little pressure. I had to do it three times to get a semi decent result. Also the netting doesnt hold its shape after a couple of weeks and starts to warp even worse. Will probably end up trashing it and going with a different brand..

Not worth it

Pros: None

Cons: Metal rails, thin tearing mesh.

I'm starting to really doubt marine depot at this point. I should have checked the reviews over on brs before buying here. Each end is metal making each piece a pain to cut, also the mesh is so week I had to order actual lid mesh from brs. Over all I'm going to have a custom lid made. After 2 hrs of messing around with this it's going to a dumpster. 50$ wasted.

Great product, but take some precautions

First, if you are going to use a hack saw like I did, take care and wrap the piece you want to use in something to keep it from getting marked up. The finish does scratch easily.

The frame went together easy but I was bad at measuring so I had to make a few extra cuts. I did buy a cheap blade for my miter saw, which made cutting the second screen much easier.
