Aquarium Power Compact Light Bulbs

A power compact ballast regulates the power going to the bulb. If your power compact fixture is still not working after a bulb replacement, then you likely need a new power compact ballast.

Power compact clips and retaining bands hold the bulb in place. Because power compacts have a socket on only one end, they can sag without support. The clip holds the bulb horizontal, while the retaining band secures the bulb inside the clip.

A power compact reflector helps direct more light into the aquarium. While not necessary, reflectors will increase bulb efficiency.
