Check Valve and Anti-siphon for Aquariums

What is a check valve? An aquarium check valve prevents backflow. Normally, the return pump pushes water from the sump back to the aquarium. However, in a power outage water can siphon back and create a flood. An aquarium check valve stops the back drain. Want to know how to install a check valve for an aquarium? The check valve goes on the return line between return pump and return inlet.
