Float and ASO Valves

A reverse osmosis ASO valve, or RO auto shut off valve, uses water pressure to shut off the RO system. It is used with a reverse osmosis float valve for partial automation. The float valve goes in the freshwater reservoir. When the reservoir fills, the float valve rises and closes the water line. However, water can still flow out the waste water line. The reverse osmosis solenoid valve (ASO) senses the increased water pressure on the product water line and stops the flow of water through the RO system. This setup automatically shuts off water movement through the RO system once the freshwater reservoir is full.

Also check out the RO DI Flood Guardian (AKA marriage saver), which combines a magnet mount electronic float valve with an auto shut off valve.
