Phosphate Rx:

Phosphate Rx is an amazingly simple and effective product that has revolutionized the way phosphates are removed from saltwater and freshwater aquariums. Regular use of Phosphate Rx increases vitality, color and growth of your aquarium’s inhabitants. Phosphate Rx is Veterinarian Approved, and has been used by leading Public Aquariums, Livestock Wholesalers, Retailers and Hobbyists.

TEST YOUR AQUARIUM`S PHOSPHATE LEVEL PRIOR TO USE.It is recommended to maintain phosphate levels below 0.03ppm. Six drops of Phosphate Rx will lower your phosphate by .5 ppm for every 10 gallons (37.9L) of water. DO NOT LOWER YOUR PHOSPHATES MORE THAN .5 ppm IN A 24-HOUR PERIOD. For best results, add in high flow areas, one drop at a time. Some temporary cloudiness may occur when adding this product. Cloudiness will clear within 24-hours. For accurate results, wait 24-hours before retesting your phosphate level. Wait ten minutes before dosing other supplements. Test regularly and treat as necessary.

This product is not intended for human consumption. Keep out of reach of children. If ingested, contact a physician or poison control center immediately. Yellow tangs can be sensitive to the recommended dosage of Phosphate Rx, and can be irritated when using this product. Additionally, some wrasses may also be sensitive to this products use and we recommend spreading out the recommended dosage over 2 or more parts.

Lowers Phosphates Fast

Pros: Easy to dose, works quick

Cons: Clouds water temporarily, pricey

Simple product that works as advertised. I dose mine directly into the skimmer because I run an AIO system and my phosphates have fallen from near 1ppm down to .25 after two doses over three days. No ill effects on coral or fish.

Something that works!

I have a 25 gallon cube with 2 protein skimmers and a refugium AND a phosphate level that runs between .04-.15 ppm. No amount of care or water changes would ever bring my phosphates below .04 ppm consistently. Phosphate RX brought my phosphates down to 0 in 3 days. I first dosed according to the instructions and my values dropped from .11 to .09. I then doubled the dose and my phosphates dropped from .09 to .05, and a third doubled dose brought the level to 0. All my corals and fish are fine 10 days later. This is almost too good to be true- no, really.

Possible Solution to GHA

Pros: Easy to use

Cons: Clouds the water

Not sure if this completely corrected my issue but still have some fight left with the GHA. Doing weekly water changes and think it has helped but cannot be certain.

Decent, I think.

So, I have this clear-short-fuzz algae growing on high lit areas. I have been dosing this for a good week and no noticeable difference. So I am back to the drawing board: siphon out detritus, blow out rocks and weekly water changes to potentially kill the fuzz. I will augment my procedure with this product as it is super easy to use.

Can stress fish

This product removes phosphate very well by precipitating out phosphates. I used less than 1/5 of the max amount listed. My fish were notably stressed. My Pacifiv blue tang was near death for several days. He managed to survive but I was very surprized My more robust fish were not excited about the change but they were OK. I would not recomend this product for aquarists with "tricky" fish.

Great Stuff

I was dieing with black beard algae. Everything was being choked and I found out that my tap water was also loaded. I also over feed a little but it is OK because I can maintain low phosphate with this product

Works Good But Not Great

This product works good but not great. It will not get my phosphates to 0.
