Bob Smith Industries BSI Cyanoacrylate IC-Gel Aquarium Frag Glue - 20 gram

Item #: YJ1111

In Stock

IC-GEL™ is one of the most popular reef-safe glues for hobbyists, providing instant bonding of coral frags to plugs or to established live rock in aquariums.

IC-GEL™ is an extremely thick cyanoacrylate (CA) paste packaged in an applicator tube, like toothpaste, and will not drip nor run, even when applied to a vertical surface making it very convenient for some assembly applications. IC-GEL™ can be applied at any angle with just a squeeze of the tube, however, does have a tendency to continue to flow for about a second after pressure is released, which must be taken into account when applied.

IC-GEL™ is also an excellent putty for plastics, but also works well on wood, glass, metal, fiberglass, ceramic, and rubber.

  • Screw on top and cap unit to puncture seal on the tube.
  • Remove cap and apply IC-GEL to one surface, and then hold parts tightly together.
  • Allow to set for 10-25 seconds
  • Replace cap immediately after use
  • Storing in cool dry place can extend shelf life for over three years

Available sizes: 20 gram | 50 gram

Frag Glue

Pros: Multiple tips. Gel glue.

This is my favorite glue. The 50 gram comes with multiple heads for a sure flow of glue.

First time trying BSI

Pros: Versatile

Cons: It doesn’t seem to hold coral very well to plugs even after curing. Price.

I tried this product for fragging my corals and I also used it on a custom egg crate caddy for my nuvo 10 lol. It’s a typical gel super glue. I didn’t find anything OMG about it but over all it worked on a few things and it didn’t work on others.

Not what it once was

This stuff used to be great but now it's just a waste of money.
Keeps clogging up and tube ends up ripping so 90% of tube gets wasted and does not stick like it used to

Pros: Larger tubes

Cons: Sticky. LOL

This is by far the best glue I have used for fragging. I highly recommend it, and glad to have it in larger tubes now.

Good glue

Pros: Glue holds

Cons: Cap can get clogged

I've been using this glue for years. Sets up quickly and only a little is needed to glue your frag down.

Works good

Pros: Glue works good.

Cons: Container breaks easily, not cheap.

Works great, my only complaint is that since the container is a thin metal you have to be careful or glue can easily come out of opposite ends and on your hands/waste glue.

Great Frag glue

Pros: Sticks well, hardens over time, gel like

Cons: Need bigger tubes, the lids caps can stick to the tube

One of the best glues I’ve used. It’s more like a gel so your frags will stick rather than just fall off. You can glue a frag and stick it in water and it firms up.

super glue, what else?

Pros: works as well as other super glues

Cons: annoying construction

Sure, the super glue works, but I always hate when the top part cures and then clogs up the whole thing...
