Aquarium Plumbing

Aquariums, especially ones with a sump, need plumbing parts. We carry premium aquarium plumbing parts, including aquarium pipe and aquarium overflow boxes.

Saltwater aquarium plumbing can be confusing. Most aquariums don’t have holes. If so, an aquarium overflow drains tank water. A drilled (reef ready) aquarium will have holes with an aquarium bulkhead fitting and an overflow pipe. This is the aquarium drain. A strainer fitting on the overflow keeps fish from being sucked in. Aquarium pipe then takes water to the sump filter. A return pump in the sump drives movement through the aquarium. Return plumbing takes clean water back to the main tank to complete the process.

In addition to common parts, we carry other specialized reef aquarium plumbing. An aquarium check valve prevents water from back flowing into the sump the wrong way. Loc-Line fittings are used to create custom aquarium returns.
