The Proportional Thermoelectric Controller is meant for use in conjunction with an IceProbe Aquarium Chiller.

Use the controller to regulate the IceProbe Aquarium Chiller`s cooling power. The TEC-65 controller is designed for tropical water aquarium environments, with an adjustable temperature range of 65ºF to 85ºF.

The exact temperature set point is fixed by adjusting a Philips head set point dial. These controllers feature an 18 inch long waterproof temperature sensor and all the electrical connections to allow for simple installation between the IceProbe and the Power Converter.

Temperature controller for Coolworks Ice Probe

Pros: Small, mounts on the wall

Cons: Adjustment screw hard to turn when the unit is wall mounted. The adjustment hole should be mounted to the unit face.

A must have for the ice probe. When adjusted properly it keeps your tank from overheating.

Works great!

I bought this to use with my CoolWorks Ice probe chiller on my 5 gallon tank and it works just as it should. The small knob to adjust the temperature is not difficult to use and is fairly easy to calibrate to the desired temperature using the instructions provided.

Coolworks microchiller

So far have not installed it. However, as far as appearance and functionality is concerned I am expecting great things of it. The size and design (hang on) is perfect for my requirements. As I am in UK I had no problems getting two USA to UK power converters for £20 each which is not expensive. After a lot of toing and froing with e-mail regarding set up etc. I am now very happy with this item thus far. I have read several blogs from people who have used this item and no-one has expressed any concerns or disappointments with it. There appears to be nothing else on the market in this field of small tropical marine chillers unless one is prepared to drill holes in one's tank and have pipes going every which way. Ultimately this chiller was the only choice for myself. My local aquarium guy was very impressed with this as he has only come across very large chillers. I would recommend to anyone with small aquarium.

Works Great

Works as advertise. All you need is a small flat screwdriver to adjust the temperature. This controller is designed to work with micro chiller made by Coolworks. Highly recommended!

works great

I have had an 8 gallon nano tank from innovative marine on my desk for about 3 months. While I love this tank I was having some heat issues in my office due to the number of computers in the room. The room temperature would sometimes reach 85 degrees, when this happened the tank would also hit 85 degrees and my corals were quite upset by this. I added this chiller to the bank of the tank, it rests quite nicely on the rim of the tank. In about 3 minutes the temperature went from 81 degrees to 77.5. The temperature has stayed between 77 and 78 ever since.

needs a control nob

The foolproof male and female connections were appreciated. Very simple to install. It needs a nob or dial for adjustment instead of the tiny, recessed control screw - so we don't have to go looking for our little screwdrivers or try to peer into the little hole to see what we're doing.

Simple install, just needs a temp setting as opposed to he dial. works great more capacity, connecting more than one Iceprob would be an added bonus if availiable(it isn't)

Microchiller Controller

Works like it's supposed to. You just need to play around with setting to the correct temp. Only set back is no number to see what your setting is when adjusting the temp
