Manufacturer information

CPR Aquatic Aquarium Supplies
In Arcata, located in Northern California, the sea is a way of life. From the advanced Marine Biology department at Humboldt State University, just up the hill from CPR’s headquarters, to Humboldt Bay, about a mile west, CPR is nestled in a perfect environment to develop equipment for marine aquariums. CPR was started in a small garage in 1987 to produce biological filters for local aquarists. People who used CPR filters were impressed by the high quality and affordable prices. Word spread and the company grew. Since then, CPR has expanded to a 10,000 sq. ft. production facility and has developed many innovative products over the years. CPR is incorporating new ideas and technologies all the time. Their goal is to allow aquarists to place the highest performing products in their tanks at reasonable prices.

Yes, I would recommend this.

Should be included with aquafuge

Pros: Reduces creep, sound and bubbles.

Cons: Price and size.

I bought the large aquafuge 2 and used it for about a week without the bubble trap box. It was quickly apparent that that's a bad idea. The tiny droplets that splash cause a ton of salt creep and the micro bubbles drove me nuts. The bubble trap box should be included with the aquafuge. The only drawbacks and the reasons it doesn't get 5 stars.. one the price. 30 bucks for this seems like a little much. That being said, it's a quality part that works. The other drawback is the size. It takes up some Realestate

always had CPR refugium

I honestly never knew that this was something extra that I could buy for my aqua fuge2, it has really came in handy now that I've had to drop my water level in my 50 gallon reef aquarium because of my new wave makers, nice product Construction black acrylic ,option attaches so water doesn't Splash on lights that hang very low or back on the main unit itself(salt creep) also there's room for other media Inside the Box, it can house a bag couple of bags carbon ,gfo a cut poly filter ,filter floss or a combination of a few things at once possibilities can be numerous there are also people out there that love to mod, so possibilities are open it will take some time to get used to but I feel the benefit outweighs the cons of using the Box, Marine Depot is one of the few places that I seen this box I wish I woulda knew a few years ago when I first got my first refugium thanks a lot guys by the way everything was packaged well and ship really fast keep up the great work.

a big thankyou

First I must say thank-you; why ? No more spray hitting the back of tank and refugium, no more water hitting the cover, thus starting algae growth. another reason my tank I nice and quiet now.
