Made in the USA

A temperature controller well built. Its a bit heavy for a temperature controller, but that is due to the industrial grade of this product. Looks and feels like a product that will last for a long long time. Minimum temperature differential is 1 degree, but manufacturer recommends it to have it at 2 degrees. Would highly recommend this product.

Excellent temp controller

Pros: Easy to set up

Cons: None

Very easy to set up. Working perfectly. The temp in my tank is now steady and I feel much better about having some protection from potential heater malfunctions.

unit controller issue

this unit has an issue that has caused me a lot of problems over the years. as 5 i bought have stopped working. this needs to be plugged into a serious surge protector to continue working. sooner or later it will stop working, show an E2 error code and become completely useless and the company that makes them will kindly offer to fix it for 75.00 plus shipping and handling, some bargain.

i don't know If they include it in the instructions now, have not looked since i have switched to another brand that does have have. it seems ironic since the unit itself, when it switches off a chiller is going to introduce voltage fluctuations of its' own

Serious piece of equipment...

The build quality on this controller is superb. It's built more like a controller that would cost $500. It's simple, efficient, dead accurate and water resistant. Maintains temps perfectly within 1 degree...This is definitely lab quality hardware, and the probe looks like it would last a lifetime, so long as it is properly maintained. Comparing this controller to some of the other temperature controllers out there, if your not running an Apex module, this is the best alternative. I just can't see trusting the internal temp controllers on cheap submersible heaters anymore. Too many horror stories. Peace of mind is well worth the extra money.

Game changer

This unit allows you to take back serious control of your water temperature. It maitins a constant 80 degrees. There is no level of accuracy available from all in one units

Finally! Real temp control.

It sounded really expensive at first, but it paid for itself almost instantly. I've bought and fought with several submersible heaters with their own thermostats that wouldn't maintain a temperature. I gave in and bought this after I was constantly having to adjust dials and check temps while I was treating for ich. Since installing this controller several weeks ago, my 75 gallon tank hasn't deviated outside the recommended 2 degree range. Just ordered another one for my 40 gallon tank because the first one works so well. Really easy to install and operate.
