Pros: Good skimate and pump is a workhorse

Cons: have to make sure your silencer is free of water for proper operation

I've been using my Eshopps Nano Skimmer for a little over a year and I have to say it works great. As long as you understand how it functions you will have no problems... My ATO is pretty consistent so i have no trouble with dry running the pump which is where you get a lot of noise. other than that its very simple to adjust your skimate by moving the skimmer body along with the magnet up or down until you have your desired setting

good nano skimmer

Pros: skims well

Cons: micro bubbles , adjusting skim

been trying to find a good nano skimmer than skimms well but also doesnt blast micro bubbles alll over my tank. This at first bad, once i removed the stock sponge and replaced it with fluval bio foam and that stopped pretty much all the bubbles. It is annoying how the adjust of the skim is only racing andloweringg the magnet

Works, but NOISY

Pros: Decent build and performance

Cons: customer support, loud

Seems built well enough, and works decently. Fits good in the second chamber of the Innovative Marine 20 Fusion. Problem with it is that it’s the loudest thing on the tank, or even the house. Its louder than my refrigerator. I can hear it rattling away in any room, and around corners. I can deal with humming, but this thing rattles away at an inconsistent volume. I emailed eshopps, and haven’t gotten a response. I don’t have time to hunt them down for support (which they don’t even have a number for), so I had to spend another $20+ to try out another pump (90gph sicce micra) in hopes that it is the issue, because it’s driving me nuts. I wouldn’t recommend because of the non-existing customer service (or maybe they hope you go away), and the chance you might have to spend even more if you get a loud one.

Great skimmer

I bought this skimmer 3 weeks ago. I have had somewhat of a good experience with this skimmer. This fits perfectly in my fusion 10 by inovative marine. I have done a few tweeks to make it skim really well. First of all, the magnet on this is really weak. You need to find someway to make it sturdy. Luckily, this fit really tight in my fusion 10 so i was good. Second, I removed the spong that is in the bottom tube. When this sponge gets cloged over time it will change the height of the water in the protein skimmer, thus messing up the performance. Third, you need to put egg crate on the bottom if you are planning to put it in a fusion aquarium by inovative marine, otherwise when it sit on the bottom of the 2nd chamber it closes the flow. The most important by far is to keep your water level extremely stable. The 2nd chamber of my inovative marine is always stable. If you have an inovative marine fusion such as the 10, and 20.. Its by far the best protein skimmer you can get. Overall, if you are creative and know how to tweek things, you can make this great skimmer work even better. I only rated this 3.5 stars out of 5, well, you hace to tweek it to make it work extremely well. When its tweeked like how I did it, its forsure a 5 out of 5.

Below par skimmer

I have been out of the reef hobby for 7 yrs. i bought this skimmer knowing it wasnt the best option for my 28 gal JBG tank but for the price i figured it was worth a shot It is very hard to set this skimmer up just right and each time you clean the cup you have to re adjust. Yes it does skim if you spend lots of time adjusting Lesson learned i should have spent more money

Perfect or terrible

If you set this skimmer in area where water line fluctuates then it simple does not work. If you have you an area where the water level is constant, then it works perfectly once you set it.
