Coral Food for Aquariums

What should I feed my corals? A powder coral food, like Coral Frenzy, offers coral nutrition for SPS corals, LPS corals, and soft corals. Marine snow is a liquid phytoplankton that is great for filter feeding corals. Ideally, feed a variety of size foods including phytoplankton and zooplankton fish food to allow all the corals the food they need.

Want to know how to feed corals? We recommend target feeding. This is also true if you want to know how to feed soft corals. Make a concentrated slurry of water, coral food, and amino acids. Add a bit to the tank to entice the corals. Then, when their tentacles come out reduce flow and use a coral feeder to target feed the coral heads. “Broadcast” feeding wastes food and encourages algae. Feeding corals should be done 1-2 times a week. Non photosynthetic corals should be fed at least daily, or better left to expert care.
