CPR`s AquaFuge2 hang-on refugiums come in three different sizes to meet the needs of marine aquarists.

Recently redesigned with a black acrylic backing to prevent light from transfering to the main aquarium, each model comes with a powerhead and features a unique baffle system. This prevents the substrate and organisms from being disturbed yet also allows enough water to flow through the eliminate any stagnant areas.

The AquaFuge2 provides ideal growth conditions for food items, such as copepods and ampipods, to feed invertebrates and fish in the main tank.

It provides a controlled growing area for macroalgae, which can be used to reduce "nuisance" algae in the main tank and provided a "nursery" area for a variety of organisms.

In 2011, a new outlet tray was added to improve the water return system.

**Please Note: The AquaFuge 2 does not come with a light fixture, although lighting is needed to meet the needs of your refugium inhabitants. Click here for CPR Lighting Options.

CPR Aquatic Aquarium Supplies
In Arcata, located in Northern California, the sea is a way of life. From the advanced Marine Biology department at Humboldt State University, just up the hill from CPR’s headquarters, to Humboldt Bay, about a mile west, CPR is nestled in a perfect environment to develop equipment for marine aquariums. CPR was started in a small garage in 1987 to produce biological filters for local aquarists. People who used CPR filters were impressed by the high quality and affordable prices. Word spread and the company grew. Since then, CPR has expanded to a 10,000 sq. ft. production facility and has developed many innovative products over the years. CPR is incorporating new ideas and technologies all the time. Their goal is to allow aquarists to place the highest performing products in their tanks at reasonable prices.

Great little fuge

Pros: Great size

I had order hang on the back everything for my recent aquarium build, it's a 60 US gallon and wasn't set up for under tank sump. It's the perfect size for mud, rubble and some cheato. I was worried that it'd stick out too much, but it is beyond perfect.

Great addition to my tank!

Pros: Quality product, easy to install and maintain.

Cons: None

I just installed this a month ago on my sumpless 54 gallon corner bowfront reef tank, and I couldn't be happier with it! I added a deep sand bed, rubble rock, and chaetomorpha macro algae to decrease my phosphates and increase my copepod population to help feed my mandarin. My tank is thriving with this addition.
