Hydros Control 4 - Controller Only

The HYDROS Control 4 is a powerful and robust foundation for a customized control system capable of meeting the needs of even the most advanced reef. Through numerous control devices available for the HYDROS system, and using the cloud-based app, you can gain control over many functions of your aquarium through a simple and intuitive interface. You’ll find many valuable capabilities with the HYDROS Control 4. Select from several probes to monitor various critical parameters in your aquarium, add a Power 4 WiFi Power Strip for programmable outlets, or use the Drive Ports to control solenoids or an ATO.

HYDROS Controllers have an industrial look because they are built to withstand the marine aquarium's harsh environment. The IP65-rated HYDROS enclosure and aircraft-style connectors ensure long-term reliability in the face of splashes and corrosive salt spray.

Sense Port

The Sense Port is a new concept in aquarium parameter measurement. The HYDROS Control 4 includes four Sense Ports for expanded capabilities. A Sense Port is a generic input port that can accept data from a variety of different types of sensors.

Drive Port

The four Drive Ports onboard the Control 4 provide switched 12V DC power for running small lights, motors, pumps, fans, and other accessories. The exact current being supplied by each port is continuously monitored by the Control unit, so if a motor or pump quits drawing current or draws too much, you will be immediately notified.

Probe Port

One of the most remarkable ports on the HYDROS Control 4 is the Probe Port. The Control 4 includes two Probe ports which can be connected to an ORP or pH probe, but these are no ordinary probe inputs! The circuitry is based on an ultra-high-quality input chip specifically designed for these types of probes. Each pH input provides digital galvanic isolation from the rest of the system which prevents interference with other accessories connected to the system like motors and pumps. Digital Galvanic isolation maintains the accuracy of the measurement by converting the signal to a digital domain before transmitting the information.

0-10V Port

The HYDROS Control 4 has two 0-10V I/O (input and output) ports that allow it to control and receive commands from other HYDROS devices as well as accessories from other brands. A legacy automation system can provide input via the 0-10V Ports. They can control variable speed pumps and can also be used to monitor simple switches, like push buttons or float switches.

Command Bus

The HYDROS Control 4 includes two Command Bus ports which are used to power the Control unit as well as communicate with other HYDROS devices for the ultimate failsafe.
